If you are heading out with a group, a 4-seater UTV rental makes the whole day easier. Everyone rides together, you can haul real gear, and nobody gets left behind at the trailhead. We carry Can-Am 4-seater UTV models and other top side by sides built for exactly this kind of trip.

Families with kids.

The wider cab and extra seats make it more comfortable for kids. Bigger machines have a smoother, more planted ride compared to a 2-seater.

Who still want the safety of a roll cage and harness. You'll have the passenger seat free for a small cooler or a bag.

Friend groups.

Four people, one machine, one experience. You are not splitting up or waiting for each other at trail junctions.

Who want something more responsive. A 2-seater handles differently than a 4-seat UTV. It's quicker to turn, easier to place on a trail, and a lot more engaging to drive.

Gear-heavy trips.

Whether it is a cooler, camera bags, or a day pack per person, a 4-seat UTV gives you actual cargo space.

Who want something more responsive. A 2-seater handles differently than a 4-seat UTV. It's quicker to turn, easier to place on a trail, and a lot more engaging to drive.

Corporate and group outings.

Side by sides are one of the more memorable group activities you can book. Multiple machines, a shared trail.

If it is just two of you and you want something more nimble, our 2-seater page is worth a look before you commit.

The honest pros and cons

A 4-seater UTV is the right tool for group trips. It is not always the right tool for every situation. Here is what to expect.

Trip types where a 4-seater works best

Some trips are built for a 4-seater. Here is where it really earns its place.

Family trail days.

A 4-seat side by side is one of the best ways to get kids interested in off-road riding. They are secure, comfortable, and there is something to look at the whole time.

Group half-day or full-day rentals.

Booking for a birthday, bachelor, or bachelorette trip? A 4-seater keeps everyone in the same conversation. Rent two and you have a convoy.

Scenic and photo runs.

When the point is the views rather than the speed, a bigger machine with a comfortable ride wins every time.

When NOT to book a 4-seater:

If it is just two of you and you want a sportier, more technical ride, a 2-seater is probably more fun.

4-seater models in our fleet

We keep our fleet well-maintained and stocked with machines that cover different riding styles. Here is what we currently carry for 4-seater UTV rentals. Can-Am machines tend to have a more premium feel and strong power delivery. Polaris machines like the Ranger Crew are just as capable and often a better fit for groups who prioritize comfort and cargo. We carry both, so call us if you want help deciding.

Can-Am Defender MAX

Families and groups who want comfort and reliability over outright speed. Easy to drive at any pace.

L370-2

Can-Am Commander MAX

Groups who want a step up in performance without giving up passenger room or comfort.

Polaris Ranger Crew

Groups who prioritize comfort and cargo over sport performance. One of the better ride qualities in the segment.

Availability changes by day and season. If you have a specific model in mind, call us before you book and we will tell you what is ready to go.

What a 4-seater rental costs

Pricing depends on the model, the duration, and whether you are booking a weekday or weekend slot. 4-seaters generally run a bit more per day than 2-seat machines. More machine, more passengers, higher rate. For a full breakdown of how pricing works, see our UTV rental pricing explained page.
